Eric Mumba

Growing up in Tottenham, North London on the notorious Broadwater Farm estate (known more recently as OFB), I was exposed, witnessed and involved in a life that promised much but fulfilled little. Despite growing up with both parents at home, the street life of the ‘road’ appealed to me more than the principles my parents taught. As a young man growing up in that environment I desired the fast life. Making quick money, looking for momentary pleasure and vying for status and street cred. I witnessed many things in my time on the block from stabbings, shootings and selling of drugs. However I realised that all these things were vanity and ‘chasing the wind’. It was in August 2007 (as a 17 year old) that I first surrendered my life to Jesus and became a Christian. I was saved in the midst of a youth revival over the summer holidays and was supernaturally changed. I instantly got involved in church life, leading in worship, bible study groups and ushering. I got married in July 2012 to my wife who I knew from college and then this eventually led to me feeling the call to the ministry in October 2015. I pastored the church thing Gravesend for almost 7 years and have recently taken over the church in Leeds in October 2023 to present where we are experiencing a great measure of revival. Being saved as youth in the midst of a youth revival has given me a unique passion for young people and I am looking forward to the opportunity to contribute to this year’s Boot Camp. I believe you will be changed and transformed this week if you would give yourself and be open to God! This will be a supernatural week full of the Holy Spirit with many decisions being made for Jesus Christ! I look forward and am excited to seeing and ministering to you all!
