My Story. 2002 was a complicated but yet powerful year . I had just been released from HMP and was searching for answers to life. With me looking for a purpose, I attended a church only to go to the front and be asked what gang I belonged to.. I left this building convinced that I had done so much wrong that even God wasn’t interested in me. At this point, I decided to carry on living life as usual. However, a couple of months later, I was in Bristol City centre, and whilst walking out of the shopping centre, I could hear someone preaching and thought. This guy has something to say, or he’s simply crazy. It was at this point that I was approached by three women who were part of this outreach team. One of them asked me if I was to die, where would I go? I replied, “Hell.. they gave me a flyer inviting me to church and walked off. The next day, I travelled to Bristol to this church in St Paul’s. I heard the Gospel message, which gave me hope, so I answered the altar call on 27th October 2002. My life has not been the same since this decision. This has led me to get married, answer the call to preach, and become part of the Boot Camp team. I have done a number of bootcamps over many years and had the privilege of seeing many young people respond to the Gospel. I have also met so many people and made friends within the fellowship due to Bootcamp. In truth, I’m addicted to Bootcamp, and I look forward to attending because I know God is going to move powerfully. My plan is to be involved in Bootcamp in any capacity for as long as I can because I have seen God use us in being instrumental in the growth of our young people.
