A Story of Transformation
When I was 11, my father died from a drug overdose.
By 12, I was using heroin and had even attempted to
take my own life.
At 13, I was incarcerated for the first time. At 15,
I was pronounced dead for six minutes, and at 19,
I was pronounced dead again for five. Yet God gave
me another chance to live.
At 21, my own mother wished I were dead or in
prison. I was trapped in addiction and despair,
but at 25, I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ.
He transformed me, delivered me from my old life,
and gave me a new purpose.
Today, I am alive by God’s grace and proclaiming
the saving power of Jesus. My transformation did
not come through rehabilitation, psychiatry, or
a program; it came through Jesus.
