2026 BOOTCAMP PASTOR

My name is Wesley Pinnick, I grew up in a comfortable Christian home where my parents have pastored my whole life. Even though I was surrounded by the things of God I never had a personal relationship with Jesus, I kept up the front of a church kid but was lost in sin. I will say that I remember moments specifically at 16 when I felt God calling me, but I could not make the decision to give my life fully to God. I was living a double life although high school saying the right things at church, so I do what I wanted with my friends at school. I graduated high school at 19 and I joined the United States Army in 2002 to run away from my Christian upbringing and find my own identity. While in the Army I decided I would “redefine myself” I wanted nothing to do with church or being identified as a Christian. I felt I was missing out on the world and that my parents didn’t really know what kind of “fun” was out there. I was deployed in late 2004 to Mosul, Iraq to the front lines with the 1/24 INF Regiment, not saved and very far from God. I went through a lot of hard ship with the greatest being losing my best friend in a firefight, that’s when I realized I needed a change. In a combat zone I restarted my relationship with Jesus and had a drastic change. When I came home, I left the army and went back to Tucson, AZ and began to serve in my church, I was 22 and had to work thought a lot of PTSD over the next few years. God really helped get a balance I needed to see the world through the correct lens after being jaded by combat. In 2010 I met my wife at a bible conference and 1 ½ years later we were married. In 2011 we were asked to serve as Door Director/ Youth Pastor where we saw God revive the youth and college groups. In March 2013 we took over a church in Long Beach, CA we left with an 11-month-old baby and 1 on the way. We labored in that city for 11 years and really felt called to be a missionary to Spain, at this time our family is now 5 kids and wasn’t sure if it was even possible. During the 2024 June Bible Conference, we were announced to Seville Spain and have been in the country since February 2025.
